Cleats was born out of an idea that came from travel.  Owner, Julie, traveled to four European countries during a soccer adventure with her daughter.  She was delighted to discover that virtually every soccer field they played at had a small cafe that offered coffee as well as adult beverages.  Having traveled thousands of miles for her kids' sports, she wondered why the US did not follow that business model.

After forming a public-private partnership with the City of Lansing, the magic began to happen. Cleats is a large steel garage that seats 80+ inside and sits on the largest outdoor patio in the Greater Lansing area. With a capacity of 500+ outdoor patio guests, it's a perfect venue for so many types of events.  There is plenty of space to spread out and it routinely boasts the very best sunsets in the Lansing area.

Bring your family and dine on our patio with our new hours.  Tables are spaced out and sanitized after every use.  We use disposable and compostable paper products and there are additional hand sanitizer stations installed throughout the Cafe and Patio.
